Subscribers can perform extensive on line searches on our database in addition to being able to post advertisements or link their career sites to Skill-Link.com’s web site .

Subscribing employers benefit from:

  1. Advanced search tools: from your desk, you can apply extensive search and filtering criteria producing short lists of highly relevant candidates.
  2. High efficiency: you avoid the resumess; ie the need to store large numbers of resume hard copies and worry about classifying them, reviewing and updating them periodically. Skill-Link.com provides you with the ultimate paperless solution. It also spares you the inconvenience of processing hundreds of irrelevant resumes you receive through advertisements.
  3. Low cost: Skill-Link.com subscription and placement success fees are substantially lower (pound to pound) when compared to advertised recruitment in newspapers or using the services of a traditional employment agency.
  4. Availability; you can search the Skill-Link.com database 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and make your own decisions with regards to the candidates you are interested in interviewing.
  5. Credibility: Skill-Link.com is backed by its founders: SKILLRATE Advisors SAE (the prestigious executive search firm with an established track record in placing executives in the largest businesses in Egypt and abroad), and LINKdotNET the leading internet service provider with continuous access to state of the art internet and telecommunications technology.
  6. More Access = More Success: Skill-Link.com offers a user friendly, easily accessible, more efficient, wider reaching and more discreet career service to job seekers. Many interesting candidates are not aware of your vacancies, they may not see your advertisement or may feel uncomfortable (specially the more experienced one) sending job applications. This translates into corporate subscribers having access to the largest possible pool of resumes, when compared to advertising, attending employment fairs, or retaining a traditional employment agency.
  7. Pre screening: Skill-Link.com thrives to ensure the accuracy and objectivity of job seekers submitted information. As much as possible, Skill-Link.com’s Candidate Relations Officers will verify information or interview applicants. This should help reduce unpleasant surprises at interview time.
  8. Confidentiality: a large number of employers prefer confidential recruitment methods not involving advertising, in the cases where an incumbent is being replaced or when embarrassing referrals should be avoided.

The process - how does it work ?
Skill-Link.com is a demand driven recruiting service, where employers search - using sophisticated search tools - the thousands of resumes on the database for suitable candidates. Once one or more candidates are identified, they are contacted by the prospective employer (via the Message Box on the site) to get permission of revealing the candidates identity and actual names of employers. Candidates have the right to accept or reject such request.

Alternatively, job seekers can browse advertised job vacancies and employers’ career sites (from the Career Center menu) and express interest in a particular employer (using the relevant employer/advertisement code) via an electronic message using the Skill-Link.com messaging capability.

The Skill-Link.com recruitment process takes place as follows:

  1. As a corporate subscriber you may search the Skill-Link.com resume database using the criteria most suitable for your vacant positions. First you will choose from the following options on your menu the appropriate Job Group
General Positions (for all positions not specific to the Groups below)

Banking Positions (for banking specific positions, eg. LC officer, Credit Officer… Administration Manager for instance - not being a bank specific job - should be searched using General Positions )

Capital Market Positions (for specific positions related to brokerage, asset management, investment banking etc... eg. Trader, Corporate Finance Officer, Research Analyst etc… Accounting Supervisor for instance - not being a Capital Market specific job - should be searched using General Positions )

Info. Technology Positions (for IT specific positions; eg. network administrator, programmer... regardless of the industry or sector)

Entry level (1st job) Positions: (for professionals in all areas with less than 1 year of full time work experience )

Secretaries / Office Managers (for job seekers with work experience as a secretary or office manager)
  2. Search results should present you on your screen with resumes matching your search criteria, you may click on any resume to browse its details. You can then save the resumes you like in your personal ‘Selection Zone’ for subsequent action. Obviously you can repeat the search as many times as you want, varying the search criteria (eg. less experience required, different educational background etc…); this should increase your search results.

  3. From your Selection Zone you may use the available Skill-Link.com messaging capability to send an expression of interest to certain resume owners (the candidates). These would then respond to you positively or decline your interest. A candidate response should appear in your own Message Box (probably same or next day… depending on when the candidate checks his messages).

Alternatively, if you have an advertized vacancy on the site or a link to your career site, a job seeker / candidate may send you in your Message Box his / her own expression of interest to which you can respond positively or negatively. A positive response will be processed as per the previous paragraph.

  4. A positive response will allow you to re browse the candidate resume with his/her actual name and the true identity of his/her employers. Prior to receiving the candidate consent, you would only have a blind resume with a generic description of the employer (eg. large passenger car joint venture assembly company, or medium sized private bank etc..).

  5. After reviewing the willing candidate’s actual information, you may decide to proceed to the interview stage (you are interested) or decline to proceed (you are not interested). In both cases you should respond with the appropriate message from your Message Box. In case of an interview, you should phone Skill-Link.com’s com’s Recruitment Officer (in the office you have subscribed with)to coordinate the interview.

  6. In light of the interviewing process, you may hire one or more candidates (or decline to proceed with one or more of them). In all cases, you should update the Skill-Link.com Recruiter Officer by telephone of the outcome. The final outcome will be forwarded to the candidates by the Candidate Relations Officer (and the corporate subscriber ) in their respective Message Boxes.
