Do you have difficulties SLEEPING?

What did you do about it? Have you ever tried to take any measures to overcome this problem?
Rawya El Gammal, a sports and natural therapist, gives us some tips to help Insomnia. Insomnia is a condition where a person is unable to sleep at night. On a mind body level this is a deep-seated fear of letting go of something or someone. You may feel that if you let go, it might hurt your ego and that your survival depends on it.

Staying up all night thinking about a problem is not going to solve it, but taking a few measures can help, especially when the nightlife in Cairo begins at 11 pm.
Avoid drinking caffeine based beverages at least five hours before getting to bed, such as coke, tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. Eat something light two hours before getting to bd. Children should avoid cucumbers, as it contains chemicals which cause hyperactivity.
Use your bedtime snack as a sleeping pill by eating carbohydrates such as potato or cereal. The body will increase insulin in the blood stream, reducing the amount of amino acids except one called tryptophan which helps manufacture serotonin, helping reduce tension and induces sleep. Honey helps stimulate serotonin, which helps relaxation, and induces sleep. Honey taken with some cider vinegar helps insomnia. Camomile is also known as a sedative, and can induce relaxation. Either taken internally as herbal tea, or a few drops of oil in the bathtub before going to bed.
Lie in a hot tub of hot water, while listening to your favorite piece of music. Applying two drops of peppermint oil in the bathtub will also induce relaxation. Alternatively, a drop of lavender oil on your pillow, or orange blossom placed in burner to scent the room before getting to bed.
Inhaling oils impinges on the nerves in the nose, and send messages to the brain to balance specific chemicals.
Relaxation tapes with hypnotic statements will automatically send a person to sleep, or counting from 99 backwards. Try to imagine the number 99 on a blackboard. Wipe the number out, and write 98, wipe it out and repeat. The brain slows down when counting backwards, rather than counting upwards.
Remove any quartz objects in the bedroom during a full moon that includes your watch. Quartz crystals recharge during a full moon, and radiate strong vibrations, which can create an imbalance within your energy system, which cause headaches and insomnia.
