      Skill-link.com is internet based job seeking and career advisory service, used by companies operating in the Arab Region (mainly Egypt and the Gulf) for their recruitment needs.

Skill-link.com is search driven (ie. Employers will use it to search for the resumes they need); additionally they may post certain job vacancies they have. Most jobs are not advertised, but the employer would be contacting the job seeker through the system.

Skill-link.com is dedicated to managers, experienced professionals and new graduates who are seeking new jobs or would like to know of other available opportunities available to them.

Register - how do I start ?
     Job seekers - using our web site - must register once to be able to post their resume online (free of charge) and update it whenever they change employers, earn new educational degrees or professional certifications, develop new skills (languages, IT experience etc..) or simply would like to update their contact information or job preferences.

More importantly registered job seekers will be able to browse advertised job vacancies and career sites in addition to having unlimited access to check their Message Box for employers interest messages (concerning career opportunities).

Career opportunities - how do I get selected by recruiters ?
     Skill-link.com is a demand driven recruiting service, where employers search - using sophisticated search tools - the thousands of resumes on the database for suitable candidates. Once one or more candidates are identified, they are contacted by the prospective employer (via the Message Box on the site) to get permission of revealing the candidates identity and actual names of employers. As a registered job seeker / candidate you have the right to accept or reject such request.

Alternatively, job seekers can browse advertised job vacancies and employers’ career sites (from your Career Center menu) and express interest in a particular employer (using the relevant employer/advertisement code) via an electronic message using the skill-link.com messaging capability.

Confidentiality - how am I protected ?
     Skill-link.com protects the confidentiality of its registered job seekers. Recruiters searching the skill-link.com database do not have access to job seekers names, address or actual employers names. Actual employers names are replaced by blind generic descriptions such as: medium sized joint venture bank or large passenger car company or leading supermarket chain etc…..

The process - how does it work ?
     The skill-link.com recruitment process takes place as follows:

1. Job seeker receives an employer’s express of interest in his / her Message Box. Or alternatively the job seeker would have sent an express of interest message to a particular employer and he / she would receive a positive feed back from employer in the Message Box.
   
   
2. If any of the above events happen, the job seeker can click on the message to view a brief profile of the potential employer.
   
   
3. The job seeker should respond positively or negatively or the potential employer (in response to # 1), this is via a simple pre formatted message from the Message Box. A positive response (YES) to potential employer will entail revealing the true identity of the job seeker: ie. name and current / previous employers names.
   
   
4. The potential employer will review online the actual personal information of the job seeker (only if the latter responded positively) and decide if he wants to proceed with an interview.
   
   
5. The job seeker will find in his / her Message Box if the potential employer is willing to proceed with an interview or is declining to proceed further .
   
   
6. If interested, the potential employer will contact the skill-link.com designated Recruitment Officer who will contact the selected candidate(s) to arrange for an interview with the interested employer .
   
   
7. In light of the interviewing process, the job seeker may be hired by the employer in question. Alternatively, the job seeker or the potential employer may for any reason decide not to proceed and decline the opportunity. Both the candidate and the employer should promptly update the skill-link.com designated Recruitment Officer by telephone of the outcome of the interview(s). The final outcome will be forwarded to the job seeker (and the employer) in their respective Message Boxes.
