skill-link.com was one of the companies interviewed by the daily Egyptian business newspaper "Al Alam El Yom" in its end of year survey on the major events in Egypt in the communication and IT sector.
Sherif Samy, skill-link.com's Chairman was quoted in the December 29th 2003 issue commenting on the 'Smart Village' recently inaugurated. In summary, he sees it as a real estate project, and we should not build false hope on it to boost the IT industry in the country. On a more relevant issue for skill-link.com, he mentioned the lack of government interest and support to e-business, this is reflected in the new labor law issued in 2003, where it contains fatal regulations handicapping online recruitment, specially when dealing with companies outside Egypt.
