The 6th International Telecommunications, Information Technology, Networking and Broadcasting Technology Trade Fair and Forum in the Arab world (Cairo2002 TELECOMP; January 14-17) was inaugurated by Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak.

The event that took place at the Cairo International Conference Center, started to pick up on the first day at around mid-afternoon where companies' stands/booths were all set up and already receiving visitors.

Skill-link.com was present in the e-World; its booth located facing one of its founders, LINKdotNET. Skill-link.com was the only online recruitment company present at the fair this year. And though simple in its setting, skill-link.com was nevertheless prevalent with its unique colors and logo attracting several interested job seekers, employers as well as companies interested in advertising on the site.

The skill-link.com booth was visited by Dr. Ahmed Nazif, Egyptian Minister of Communication & IT; who inquired about our service and was impressed upon knowing the number of registered applicants on our database and suggested an idea to benefit from this large number of resumes - a project already under study - which is "Data Mining" and analysis of various information such as which jobs are the most sought, salary ranges of common positions …etc.

As usual, skill-link.com had gifts to hand out to its visitors: white sports caps with the company logo. These were quickly disappearing every day.

Upon inaugurating the Fair, President Hosny Mubarak launched the Free Internet in Egypt and became the first Free Internet user in Egypt at Cairo2002 Telecomp.
