The leading Egyptian English newspaper "Al-Ahram Weekly" carried an article by skill-link.com' Chairman, Sherif Samy, in its July 3rd 2003 issue. It discusses at length how the newly issued labor law in Egypt would have negative implications on the recruitment industry.
In his article, published over 3 page long columns, Sherif Samy details each of the hurdles imposed on recruitment firms, whether operating locally, or more importantly attempting to serve companies abroad. Despite the difficult job market, the Ministry of Labor that drafted that unfortunate law, seemed to completely miss the point.
