AMIDEAST Cairo is soliciting applications for the Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP) for Egypt. The IFP provides fellowships for graduate studies (up to 3 years) to exceptional individuals who will use their education to further development in their own countries and greater social and economic justice worldwide.

The International Fellowships Program, which AMIDEAST administers in Egypt and Palestine, will offer for the 2004 / 2005 academic year 21 fellowships: 16 for Masters degrees and 5 for Doctorate degrees (Ph. D.) in any university around the world, including Egypt.

In addition to providing financial assistance for travel, living expenses and tuition, IFP also offers preliminary short-term training including language instruction, workshops on research skills, and computer training.

A total of 42 students-21 Egyptians and 21 Palestinians-were selected in 2002 and will begin their studies at universities throughout the world in 2003.
